Hi, I’m Adam. I work at Garage Door Guys Perth and I’ve been part of the team for a while now. I fix, service and install garage doors all across Perth. I enjoy the work and I enjoy helping people. Every job is different and that keeps it interesting.
I grew up in the hills just outside the city. It was the kind of place where everyone looked after each other. My first job was helping a neighbour fix an old roller door that had been stuck for months. I had no idea what I was doing back then, but I gave it a go and we got it working. That was the moment I realised I liked working with my hands.
After finishing school I got into trade work straight away. I spent a few years learning the basics, doing odd jobs, building fences and repairing sheds. But I kept getting drawn to garage doors. There is something satisfying about figuring out why something is stuck or broken and then making it work again.
Joining Garage Door Guys was a big step forward for me. Jamie gave me a chance to prove myself and I took it seriously. Since then I’ve worked on hundreds of garage doors, from noisy old tilt doors to modern smart openers. I’ve replaced broken springs, realigned tracks and helped families get their car out when they were in a panic. It feels good to be the one who solves the problem.
I always try to treat every job like it is at my own house. That means turning up on time, doing clean work and speaking to customers in a way that makes sense. I do not use fancy words or rush people through. I just explain the problem, show them what I’m doing and get it fixed properly.
Outside of work I like being outdoors. I go camping when I can and I spend most weekends working on my car or helping a mate with his. I’m a footy fan, I like a good barbecue and I enjoy simple things done well.
Working at Garage Door Guys Perth means being part of something that matters. We are not just here to tighten a bolt and leave. We are here to help people feel safe, sorted and stress free. I take pride in that.
That’s my story. I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any questions about garage doors, feel free to contact me.
