Hi, I’m Rafael, one of the team here at Garage Door Guys Perth. I’ve been working with garage doors for several years now and every day I get to help people get things back on track. It’s hands on work, it keeps me moving and I genuinely enjoy it.
I grew up in Perth, in a busy house with four brothers and a lot of noise. We were always fixing bikes, pulling things apart and building stuff from scratch. My uncles were tradies and I spent a lot of time watching them work. They taught me to take pride in what I do and never leave a job half finished.
Before garage doors I worked in general maintenance. I did everything from fixing fences to patching up roofs. But I was always drawn to mechanical things and when I got the chance to work on garage doors it just clicked. I liked the challenge. I liked solving problems. And most of all I liked the feeling of helping someone out right when they need it.
At Garage Door Guys Perth I work alongside Jamie & other team members and the crew to handle all sorts of repairs and installs. You might see me replacing broken springs, realigning tracks or fitting a new opener. I take every job seriously, no matter how big or small. I treat every home with respect and I always explain things in plain English so the customer feels confident and comfortable.
What I enjoy most is the variety. Every house is different, every door is different and every customer has their own story. One day I’m working on a quiet street in Fremantle, the next I’m in a busy commercial workshop in Canning Vale. I like being out on the road, meeting people and leaving things better than I found them.
When I’m not on the tools I’m with my partner and our young daughter. We like to take weekend trips, go to the beach and visit family around Perth. I’m also a bit of a home cook and love throwing something on the grill after a long day. Life’s pretty simple and that’s just how I like it.
