Hi, I’m Jamie. Before we get started on any garage door repair, installation, or maintenance job, I like to be upfront about how I work and what you can expect. These terms and conditions explain how I run things at Garage Door Guys Perth. Once you approve a quote, book a job, or use my services, you’re agreeing to everything outlined below.

 

The Work I Provide

When I take on a job, I do it to the best professional standards used across the garage door industry here in Perth. That means I’ll always aim to complete repairs, installations, and maintenance properly and safely.

 

Quotes and Pricing

Any quote I give you is valid for 30 days from the date I sent it. After that, things might change depending on stock prices or material costs. Your quote will clearly list what’s included in the job based on our chat or inspection.

Things like painting, cosmetic touch-ups, or changes after the quote are not included unless we both agree in writing.

Approvals and Booking a Job

Once you approve the quote by email or in writing, I’ll lock in the booking. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let me know as early as possible. I’ll do my best to work with you, but some changes may come with extra costs depending on what’s involved.

 

Payment Terms

For homeowners, I ask for a 50 percent deposit upfront for installations or custom orders, with the rest due once the job’s finished.

If you’re a contractor, we’ll agree on payment terms before I start. In all cases, late payments can attract interest, and if collection or legal steps are needed, those costs fall to the customer.

 

Access to the Work Area

Please make sure I have safe, clear access to the work area and that any gates, approvals, or site permissions are sorted ahead of time. It also helps if the area is free of personal items. I do my best to avoid damage, but I can’t be responsible for belongings left near the job site.

 

Special Orders

If your job involves a custom garage door or specialty part, I’ll confirm all details with you before placing the order. These items are non-refundable once confirmed. If changes are needed later because of a customer mistake or preference (not a defect), extra charges may apply.

 

My Warranty

All work comes with a 12 month workmanship warranty, and the parts I use are backed by the manufacturer’s warranty. For full details, visit the Warranty page.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Weather damage or misuse
  • Work altered by other providers
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic marks like scratches or paint imperfections

 

Unexpected Problems

Sometimes jobs reveal hidden issues, like structural damage or old wiring. If something like this comes up, I’ll pause, explain what I’ve found, and provide a quote for any extra work needed.

Extra Work

If you ask for any additional work outside the original scope, I’ll quote that separately. If you’re happy with it, we’ll go ahead and I’ll invoice accordingly.

Legal Bits

These terms follow the laws of Western Australia. If there’s ever a dispute, it’ll be handled through the local court system.

Changes to These Terms

I only make changes to these terms if both of us agree to it in writing.
